why do i love elle woods in legally blonde? b/c the character the author created was as a good person; never did her goodness prove false when she first got to harvard and experienced nastiness, cattiness, betrayal, and not even when she had to face her own short-comings. serious intrinsic self-worth, despite hands-off, materialistic self-absorbed parents, growing apart with old school friends, despite being discriminated against, embarrassed and tricked, socially, for being culturally different and the ex-gf, despite being dissed by a harvard law prof in front of a roomful of peers, and despite being the object of a perv law profs attempt at manipulation, harrassment and abuse of position. (meanwhile i was going to share the trailer, but, how is it that so many trailers are so poorly done???? makes me think of the job cameron diaz had in that xmas chick flick with british total-dish-boy jude!)
