yesterday i spent the usual first of the month time, paying bills, etc. when i was paying ga power i was standing in this long line waiting. You know you cant help but overhear conversations. Two older ladies were discussing their aches and pains and their ages. You know me--i had to comment. One lady said once she hit 60 her get up and go got up and went. The other one said i hit 50 and blinked and now i am staring 70 in the face. She said I used to feel like 70 was old but now it feels like the beginning. So i told her when i was 30 i thought 50 was old, now i am 52 and hope I can just do at 70 what i can do now. She asked me did i think about it a lot and i told her no only when my bones aches. And now for the comment of the day--the 69 year old woman said I HAVE PICKED COTTON, WORKED IN A COTTON MILL, AND NOW I SIT IN A COTTON CHAIR, I MUCH PREFER SITTING IN A COTTON CHAIR. i helped my grandmother picked cotton, i also played in cotton fields and didnt even think about the snakes, yick, my mom worked in cotton mill, and both of us have changed cotton sheets. and i am not ready to sit down and just sit in a cotton chair.
