HIỆN TẠI ĐƠN ( PRESENT SIMPLE TENSE) - Có các từ: Often, usually, frequently: Always, constantly: Sometimes, occasionally: Seldom, rarely: Every day/ week/month…: - Diễn tả một chân lý; một sự thật hiển nhiên. Ex: The sun rises in the East - Diễn tả một thói quen; hành động xảy ra thường xuyên ở hiện tại. Ex: They live in England Note: 2. HIỆN TẠI TIẾP DIỄN (THE PRESENT CONTINUOUS TENSE) - Có các từ: Now, right now, at the moment, at this time, at present… - Diễn tả hành động đang diễn ra ngay lúc nói. Ex: The children are playing football now. What are you doing at the moment. Be quiet! The baby is sleeping in the next room. Note: 3. HIỆN TẠI HOÀN THÀNH ( THE PRESENT PERFECT TENSE) - Có các từ: Just, recently, lately: Never: Yet: For: So far = until now = up to now = up to the present: Ever: Already: Since: Over: - Diễn tả hành động vừa xảy ra Ex: I have just seen my sister in the park. - Diễn tả hành động lặp đi lặp lại nhiều lần ở QK có thể lặp lại ở HT hoặc TL Ex: I have seen “Titanic” three times. He has read that novel several times. - Hành động bắt đầu ở QK kéo dài đến HT và tiếp tục ở TL Ex: Tom has lived in this house for ten years. They have studied English since 1997 Xảy ra trong QK không biết rõ, hoặc không muốn đề cập đến thời gian chính xác. Ex: I have gone to Hanoi He has done his homework Note: 4. HIỆN TẠI HOÀN THÀNH TIẾP DIỄN ( THE PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE) I have been studying English for 7 years but I haven’t spoken English well yet. 5. QUÁ KHỨ ĐƠN ( THE PAST SIMPLE TENSE) - Có các từ: last week/ month/ year…, ago, yesterday, this morning, today. - Diễn tả một hành động xảy ra trong quá khứ, chấm dứt rồi và biết rõ thời gian. Ex: Tom went to Paris last summer. My mother left this city two years ago. He died in 1975. Note: 6. QUÁ KHỨ TIẾP DIỄN ( THE PAST CONTINUOUS TENSE) - Chỉ một hành động đã đang xảy ra vào một thời điểm trong QK. Ex: I was doing my homework at 6pm last Sunday. They were practicing English at that time. What were you doing at this time yesterday? Note: 7. QUÁ KHỨ HOÀN THÀNH ( THE PAST PERFECT TENSE) - Diễn tả một hành động đã xảy ra trước một thời gian trong QK. Ex: We had lived in Hue before 1975 - Diễn tả một hành động xảy ra trước một hành động trong QK. Ex: Before I went to bed, I had taken a bath 8. QUÁ KHỨ HOÀN THÀNH TIẾP DIỄN (THE PAST PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE) Before I went to bed, I had been taking a bath for 3 hours. 9. TƯƠNG LAI ĐƠN (THE SIMPLE FUTURE TENSE) - Có các từ: next week/month/year…, tomorrow, soon, someday. - Diễn tả một ý kiến, lời hứa, quyết định tức thì. Ex: I think Liverpool will win. I’ll phone you tonight You can have it for $50 OK, I’ll buy it. 10. TƯƠNG LAI TIẾP DIỄN (THE FUTURE CONTINUOUS TENSE) - Có các từ: next week/month/year…., tomorrow. - Diễn tả hành động sẽ đang xảy ra vào 1 thời điểm ở TL. Ex: He will be doing research at this time tomorrow When you come today, I’ll be working at my desk. She will be living in this house in May (next year). Note: 11. TƯƠNG LAI HOÀN THÀNH (THE FUTURE PERFECT TENSE) - Có các từ: By + mốc thời gian, by the time, by then, by that time… - Diễn tả hành động sẽ hoàn tất trước một thời điểm ở TL. Ex: I’ll have finished my homework by noon They ‘ll have built that house by July next year. - Diễn tả hành động sẽ hoàn tất trước một hành động khác ở TL. Ex: By the time, You come back home, I’ll have finished my homework When you come back, I’ll have written this letter. Note: 12. TƯƠNG LAI HOÀN THÀNH TIẾP DIỄN (THE FUTURE PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE) By the time, You come back home, I’ll have been studying for 3 hours. 13. TƯƠNG LAI GẦN (NEAR FUTURE) I am He, she, it is + Going to + V1 You, we, they are Ex: My father is retiring.
