Šimon Pánek will participate on two discussions during the One World Festival in Brussels: Putin´s Games -> on 24th March (opening ceremony) at 20:00 in Bozar Cineme Return to Homs -> on 25th March at 19:00 in the Czech Permanent Representation Šimon Pánek (born December 27, 1967) is a former Czech student activist during the Velvet Revolution in 1989 and today the executive director of the humanitarian organization People in Need (Člověk v tísni), which he co-founded in 1992. People in Need (PIN) became the biggest non-governmental organisation in Central and Eastern Europe and works worldwide to mitigate the suffering of people in times of crisis. For its international and national effort, PIN has become highly respected in the Czech Republic and abroad.
