وظيفة Mental Health officer-Psychologist - مؤسسة أطباء العالم - غزة Médecins du Monde (MDM) France is an International Medical Organization, which has been present in the Palestinian Territories since 1995. It operates in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank through offices located in Jerusalem, Gaza and Nablus. MDM is currently looking for qualified candidates to fill the position of Mental Health officer-Psychologist, Gaza Base (1 Position) Starting date: December 1st, 2014 Type: Full time contract. Duration: 10 months with possibility of Extension. Purpose: This position aims to assist the Mental Health Coordinator to coordinate the implementation of the overall mental health and psychosocial support strategies, activities and resources in Gaza in order to facilitate the delivery of a quality mental health & psychosocial support for individuals and their communities as well as to improve Communities mental health and psychosocial well-being. Under the direct supervision of the Medical manager, the Mental Health officer shall be responsible for the following: I. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES - Provide technical support in mental health and psychosocial support related issues to Gaza program: MdM France staff/partners - Will be responsible of the planning, implementation and follow-up of MHPSS activities implemented by MdM France staff /Partners - Assess needs of training for MdM France staff/partners and assist in organizing trainings accordingly - Report MHPSS activities in GAZA, according to MdM procedures - Develop or adapt specific didactic materials for technical topics and capacity building activities - Keep and improve a referral system for MHPSS cases - Keep and improve the current data collection system for mental health activities according with the needs of reporting - Participate to specific cluster meetings under MHCo delegation - Represent MdM towards local authorities and MH partners - Participate and provide technical inputs for the recruitment/selection of MH team REQUIRMENTS - An advanced degree in clinical psychology, or in any other relevant field (Bachelor Major in Psychology or Master/Specialization in Clinical psychology) - Valuable experience in training and supervising social workers and psychologists (at least 3 years) - Experience of counselling/psychological support/psychotherapy in emergency situations with people affected by conflicts (at least 2 years) - Experience related to psychosocial/psychological assessment - Experience in Community Psycho-education - Previous work experience with international organisations - Knowledge of MHPSS international guidelines - Strong communication and facilitation skills - Managerial skills - Excellent writing skills and Computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point) - Arabic and English (both written and spoken) II.
