बुध्दिमानका उखानहरु हितोपदेश 22;17-29 17 बुद्धिमान्का उखानहरूमा ध्यान दिएर सुन्, र मैले सिकाएका कुराहरूमा तेरो मन लगा, -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bow down thine ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply thine heart unto my knowledge. 18 किनभने ती कुराहरू तेरो हृदयमा राखिस् भने, अनि ती सबै तेरा ओठमा तयार रहन्छन् भने त्यो मनोहर हुन्छ। -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For it is a pleasant thing if thou keep them within thee; they shall withal be fitted in thy lips. 19 तेरो भरोसा परमप्रभुमा होस् भनेर यो कुरा आज म तँलाई सिकाउँछु, अँ, तँलाई नै सिकाउँछु। -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- That thy trust may be in the LORD, I have made known to thee this day, even to thee. 20 के मैले तेरो लागि तीस वटा नीति-वचन लेखिदिएको होइनँ र– सल्लाह र ज्ञानका वचनहरू? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Have not I written to thee excellent things in counsels and knowledge, 21 आफूलाई पठाउनेकहाँ तैंले उचित जवाफहरू दिन सक् भनेर मैले तँलाई सत्य विश्वसनीय वचनहरू सिकाएको होइनँ र? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee? 22 तिनीहरू असहाय छन् भन्दैमा गरीबमाथि शोषण नगर्, र दीन-हीनलाई अदालतमा पेल्ने काम नगर्, -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rob not the poor, because he is poor: neither oppress the afflicted in the gate: 23 किनभने परमप्रभुले तिनीहरूको मुद्दा आफ्नो हातमा लिनुहुनेछ, र तिनीहरूलाई लुट्नेहरूलाई उहाँले लुट्नुहुनेछ। -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For the LORD will plead their cause, and spoil the soul of those that spoiled them. 24 गरम मिजासको मानिसलाई मित्र नबना, सितिमिति रिसाउने मानिससँग सङ्गत नगर्, -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go: 25 नत्रता त्यसको चाल तैंले सिक्लास् र आफै पासोमा पर्लास्। -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lest thou learn his ways, and get a snare to thy soul. 26 बन्धकमा आफ्नो हात नहाल्, अथवा अर्काको ऋणको जमानी नबस्। -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Be not thou one of them that strike hands, or of them that are sureties for debts. 27 यदि तँसँग तिर्ने उपाय छैन भने, तँ सुतेको खाटसमेत तँबाट खोसिनेछ। -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If thou hast nothing to pay, why should he take away thy bed from under thee? 28 प्राचीन साँध-सिमानाको ढुङ्गो नहटा, जो तेरा पुर्खाहरूले खड़ा गरेका हुन्। -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set. 29 आफ्नो काममा सिपालु कुनै मानिसलाई तँ देख्छस्? त्यसले राजाहरूका सामु सेवा गर्नेछ। त्यसले नचिनेका मानिसहरूको सेवा गर्नेछैन। -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.
