In this shocking video of brutality, an alleged right hand man of a BJP MLA in Belagavi in Karnataka mercilessly thrash two youths after stripping them naked for aiding love marriage of their friend to his niece. The video that surfaced online on Friday, shows Suresh Gatige, said to be a close aide of BJP MLA Sanjay Patil, thrashing the two youths with a hockey stick despite their repeated requests him to stop. According to reports, Suresh took two youths, from Kolhapur in Maharashtra, to an isolated palace and beat them up for supporting the love marriage of their friend to his niece. The incident took place on Nov 2, however, a complaint was registered in a rural police station of Belagavi only on Nov 10. After youths returned their home in Kolhapur, one of the victims father approached the local police to file a case in vain as they were directed to approach the police station that falls within the jurisdiction, where the incident took place in Karnataka. Later, a complaint was filed in a Belagavi police station, which allegedly did not receive required attention by the officials. Later the youths approached IG Bhaskar Rao, who immediately directed the officials concerned to take action. Later, the video was made public and since police have arrested 4 persons including Suresh. Lapses on the part of the police official is also being probed.
