上課前一天寄這個給我是要嚇死人阿>"< Dear students, Before you make your final decision of taking this course, please read the attached syllabus carefully and take the following announcements into consideration: 1. This teacher adopts a very strict attendance/ participation policy. When a student can’t come to class, s/he has to provide valid proof within two weeks. Each absence is worth 5 points and lateness, 2 points. 2. This course entails a lot of hard work. Every student has to choose a news article to present in class, and all of the articles presented will be tested on in either quizzes or exams. In other words, if there are 40 enrolled students, you’ll have to read 40 news articles, not including the ones the teacher is going to cover. Therefore, if your current schedule cannot afford a heavy-loaded course, I suggest you take this course in another semester. 3. The classes on 11/21 and 11/28 start at 12:40 p.m. and I expect all students to come to class on time except the ones who have a noon class.
