-- Accidents -- In this past 6 months i have witnessed 2 accidents along the road-side, both which involved a badly injured motorist. Yesterday i witnessed yet another one. Dressed in civilian clothes, i introduced myself as a doctor and went to help the motorist. Quickly assessed the vitals, spoke to him and tried to calm him down. Got 2 bags by the side to support his neck and spine and stabilized him and tried to find out the mechanism of injury. The paramedics did arrive. But before i could even explain the situation and the mechanism of injury, i was told to get out of the way in a rather rude manner when i was hardly even obstructing. I compared it to the first incident when i did have my doctors badge on me and the paramedic who had first approached me; addressed me as the doctor and even asked what had happened and was rather polite. Did that one badge make such a difference. Hoping that uncle is fine. Dear motorists, kindly drive carefully. Think about your families =)
