---FALLEN HORSE RESCUE--- URGENT REQUEST! “My name is Denny Bales, president of the Gulf Coast Humane Society. I’ve never written a letter in my seventeen year tenure as president to ask for your immediate financial assistance. A kind hearted soul by the name of Tom Armstrong decided to dedicate his life to the rehabilitation of horses that have been neglected, abused, and or seized by authorities. In his 3 years of operation, Tom has saved more than 40 horses!!! I’ve personally visited “Fallen Horse Rescue” in Mathis, Texas and I’m very impressed with Tom’s total dedication to the mission of giving these beautiful animals a second chance. Tom works two jobs along with caring for these animals. The cost of caring for horses that have been abused and starved is unusually high! I was contacted recently by one of his volunteers asking for help in order to keep the rescue up and running. The Gulf Coast Humane Society and I have decided to “adopt” Fallen Horse Rescue and make it our “pet project”!!!
