--I dont believe in God now, but he added that I can still work up and envy for someone who has a faith. I can see how that could be a deeply soothing experience. No interpretation no matter how subtle can (for me) change this. These subtilised interpretations are highly manifold according to their nature and have almost nothing to do with the original text.
