--Motivation for monthly mileage (300Km)-- First it is said by many runners in Japan, if you want to be long distance runner, 300Km mileage is minimum requirement, so this is must. How do you establish is up to you, 10Km everyday or short on week day then long on week end. To monitor the mileage, create one excel sheet to monitor or use web page like jog note (sorry this page is Japanese only) jognote/user/291770/days?month=7&year=2013 so that you can monitor your total mileage easy. It is also advisable to record your health condition, weight, lap time, weather etc, so that you can review it. If you run 10Km everyday you will have short distance build, sometime you need to input to your body what is the feeling of 21Km up. I made this mistake before. If you run just 10Km everyday in jogging pace only this is also not good. This is good for health only. Especially if you want to be fast runner you can not avoid interval training. Coach Christabel Abenoja Martes gave us last year interval menu, I saw it and I learned that. Interval training is very hard to do by alone, sometime if you can find puller better chase him or her. You may even pay for this, I am willing to pay for good puller than race.
