Not just as a mother of two black sons,but as a black person living in America it is getting exhausting to still have to explain in the year 2014 our right to exist in this country. To explain we are human beings whos value sits no lower than any other race! To explain our basic humanityand perhaps worst of all, WHY WE ARE OUTRAGED!! We should not have to explain why it is unacceptable for unarmed teenagers to be gunned down by police! We should not have to explain why Micheal Browns life didnt matter to some mainly a Ferguson police officer it mattered to someone. We shouldnt have to explain that clothes we wear dont protect us against or make us susceptible to violence. 4 little girls were bombed in their church dresses, Martin Luther king Jr was gunned down wearing a suit and tie. So what does clothes have to do with it? We should not have to explain that the right to due process that was not given to Micheal Brown is in the consitution in fact, its in there 2 times. We should not have to explain why the correct response to these kind of tragedies is not what about black on black crimes? 84% of white people killed every year are killed by other white people and no one ever attempts to undermine any of the senseless violence their race suffers. We should not have to explain why we do not trust the police when a number of eyewitnesses tell a consistant story than that of the police officer who murdered Micheal Brown! We should not have to explain why we fight back when we are attacked or why we deserve the same rights and protection given to every other citizen in this country. Hell, to all of you who justify Micheal Browns excution maybe you can answer some questions I have? Can you explain why Mike Brown is gunned down in the streets like a wild dog while James Eagan Holmes, who killed 12 people injured 70 others after shooting up a movie theater was escorted to a police car? Why did he get a trial? What do you have to do to get gunned down, steal cigarellos? Will you PLEASE tell me why his body was left in the streets for 4 hours? Was it to send a message to his community or just to blacks in general? I am tired of my people making excuses using we kill eachother as an escape goat for the senseless killings of our sons. Not just the resent 3 but 24 unarmed young black men all killed by your friendly police officers!
