- well, i was a day ahead of myself with travel plans and wound up with one more night solo in sanfrancisco. This meant that I could actually attend the place that my soul has intrinsically yearned for, with aching indescribable longing since the moment i instinctively closed my eyes, nuzzled my nose in the binding of a book, breathing in the inebriating aroma of the pages as if I were taking in the last wisp of perfume from my dead lovers neck..and fell hopelessly in love with books forever. Presently melted in a puddle of speechless awe on the floorboards of City Lights Booksellers & Publishers. Oh, duncan, rexroth, ferlinghetti... kerouac and allan g...i feel you walking through these streets; and all the precious pounding poems your hearts left over for me....
