-Evening on a canvas -dinner with Vincent. I’d come home from a day landscaping in the fields, that old cabin always welcomed me home with the refreshing scent of cedar wood. my day is left at the front door, The fire in the fireplace is being a bastard and putting out more smoke than heat or flame. a flicker, candle licks the cold. empty leather boots on the floor and books on old hand carved bookshelves. A cast iron pot and we dine with the ghost of Van Gogh. There are things in the woods and three canvas paintbrushes in a clay pot on the table. Woodsmoke and wooden spoons above the pop of a hot fire, I wish i was a painter so i could paint my thoughts just as they happen, just like Vincent - rkl
