Obituaries Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share with Email Julian Jenson (January 17, 1933 - June 16, 2014) U.S. Veteran Julian Grandpa J Carl Jenson, 81, of Wilber, passed away peacefully at Bryan LGH East June 16, 2014 with his family by his side. Julian was born in Mauston, Wisconsin on January 17, 1933. He went through grade school at Fowlers Prairie and graduated from Elroy High School in 1951. Shortly thereafter he entered the US Army serving as a Combat Engineer, Combat and Aerial photographer and Camera Repairman. He was a Korean and Vietnam war veteran. He retired from the US Army in 1977 with a medical disability after 23 years of service. He continued to work for the US Government as a civilian contractor serving in Saudi Arabia, California and Kwajalein as a photographer and TV cameraman. In 1985 he married Trinidad Millare Jenson and moved to Wilber, Nebraska and began working for the Wilber Republican as a photo journalist and retired after 25 years. He was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion Post #101 and Honor Society of the Third Infantry Division. He is survived by his wife of 29 years Trinidad; son Allen, Eufaula, AL; daughters, Anita (Bensing), Eaton, CO; Dawn (Odvody), Lincoln, NE; Michelle, Henderson, NV; Theressa, Galveston, TX; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Jens and Emma Jenson. Funeral services: Thursday, 11:30 a.m., Kuncl Funeral Home, Wilber. Pastor Travis Panning officiating. Visitation: Wednesday, 5 – 8 p.m., funeral home. Interment: Wilber Czech Cemetery. Memorials are in care of the family.
