It was a gray day - sky and water - both of which got blown out while making adjustments to see the cormorants. Always needed a bit more color, so... TECHNICAL I lost track of the number of layers! This was supposed to be a simple texture piece, but I kept playing. After adding the initial textured layer, I wanted more color. Each color addition ended up being a new layer and using a sponge brush with layer masking. When the color looked good, I then used Nik Viveza and Nik Color Efex for what I thought would be final adjustments. Then I got this crazy idea to throw the image into Alien Skin Snap Art and play some more. This is the result of using Photoshop CS6, Nik Viveza, NIK Color Efex, Alien Skin Snap Art, and a photomorphis textured background.
