In 1945, it was merged into Chekiang (Zhejiang)University Medical School. The College and its affiliated hospitals were then merged into one as Zhejiang Medical College in 1952 and it was upgraded to Zhejiang Medical University in 1960. In 1998, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou University, Zhejiang Agricultural University and Zhejiang Medical University were merged to form a new Zhejiang University.
