1/2 Peckfield Landfill Community Update Christine Boothroyd and Carolyn Walker as members of the group and on behalf of the residents of Micklefield, have met with the Environment Agency area Manager Catherine Saxton and Robin Bispham Environment Officer, And discussed at length the ongoing nuisance of Odor and Litter and that as a community we had suffered these issues long enough,even though there had been some improvement it was felt more needs to be done,it was made clear to us that a lot of investment from the owners had been made,and that the EA had put a lot of resources into the site monitoring. We had written to the Environment Agency stating that it was our intention to make this a formal complaint against the Environment Agency in the handling of the site,and also that we are taking the matter to the Safer Leeds Scrutiny Board Meeting on the 15th Of September,at the Leeds Civic Hall. We will be asked to speak and give our concerns and then the board will make a decision on how they wish to deal with or look further into this matter if they feel that is what is needed.
