1,220 children benefit from CBE • About 1,220 children have benefited from the Complementary Basic Education (CBE) programme in the Kassena-Nankana Municipal and Kassena-Nankana West District. • The children, who have been out of school, would be integrated into the mainstream basic school system in September following the successful implememtation of the first phase of the CBE programme in the area. • The CBE is aimed at getting children of school going-age enrolled. • Mr. Augustine Ayirezang, Director of Kassena-Nankana Education Directorate announced this. • The beneficiaries consisted children between the age of 8 to 14 years who were taken through 9 months training in basic numeracy and literacy skills.
