The position is in Maseru-IEC Headquarters. KEY PERFORMANCE AREA The incumbent will be responsible for performing the following: • Mobile Registration Units (MRU) support and Maintenance. • Maintenance and repairs of all Computer peripherals including MRUs. • Interconnect MRU and existing data networks. • Install software programs and applications. • Performs equipment repair, builds cables, and replaces boards and components to identify or remedy failures. • Prepares and installs software and peripheral devices. • Diagnosis and resolution of Hardware, Software and Network related problems. • Performs all functions required to prepare and install microcomputers and related equipment, including connections to the data communications network. • Performs local and remote testing on equipment, including running computer programs to diagnose faults. • Perform weekly Backups. • Training of CEA’S on MRUs PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES • Good communication skills • Goal Oriented • Ability to repair microcomputer components. • Ability to prepare and install software packages • Communication and good listening skills • Ability to work under pressure • Ability to diagnose hardware and/or software problems. • Ability to follow oral and written instructions. • Innovative • Self -driven QUALIFICATIONS Diploma in Information Technology or Information Systems is a minimum requirement.
