1. Defending of democracy is the responsibility of all of us and when there are notable attempts to undermine democracy, we must express disapproval of such irrespective of our affiliations. We must forever embrace any legitimate efforts that seeks to strengthen accountability by charter 9 institution (inclusive of the Public Protector). These institutions are critical in safeguarding democracy and promotion of accountability. 2. The reviewal of E-toll socio-economic impact is a necessary process. It is my view that there is nothing wrong to re-look at policy, particularly when it is perceived by majority to be an error . Therefore policy review is not an embarrassment, it is rather an application of a different taught process given the disapproval of the initial decision. When it is really necessary the will of the people must prevail and that we must govern along with people, not just on our own. Our movement has always been a caring one and I am sure it is capable of continuing to live up to this expectation.
