1. WHO WROTE AND GAVE THE TEN COMMANDMENTS TO MOSES AT MOUNT SINAI??? Jesus was the God who gave the Ten Commandments in written form on two tablets of stone to Moses at Mount Sinai - (Exodus 20). In the Old Testament, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob was called Jehovah, Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace, Immanuel - ((Exodus 6:1-3; Isaiah 12:2; 26:4; 9:6; 7:14). This God was prophesied to be born through a virgin / woman and His name will be called - JESUS. 2. GOD BECAME INCARNATED INTO HUMANITY AND IS CALLED - JESUS By the Holy Spirit and through Mary, God Jehovah was born as a human being and named - JESUS. - (Matthew 1:21-23; Luke 1:30-37). Both natures, the divine and the human, were in Jesus Christ. Jesus was God and man at the same time during the 33 years of His life on earth - (Philippians 2:5-8). While in humanity, Jesus never ceased to be GOD. Jesus was God in the beginning from eternity apart from God the Father. John 1:1, 14 says, In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with GOD, and the WORD was GOD. ... And the WORD became flesh and dwelt among us ... As a human being, Jesus kept the law perfectly - (Hebrews 4:15). Therefore, sin is not excusable by any human being since Jesus is our example - (1 Peter 2:20-21). 3. JESUS HUMANITY DIED AT CALVARY, BUT NOT HIS DIVINITY. In order for God Jehovah to become our substitute for sins, He had to become human in order to die at Calvary. And Jesus being God, He cannot die. But Gods incarnation into humanity through Jesus enable Him to become the sacrifice for our sins. God Jehovah inherited humanity like us through Mary, and became a mortal being. When the Roman soldiers crucified / killed Jesus at Calvary, His divinity did not die. It was Jesus Christs humanity that died. 4. JESUS AS GOD, THERE IS NOTHING IMPOSSIBLE FOR HIM. As God, Jesus can empower us to keep the law - (1 Jude 1:24; 1 Corinthians 10:13). There is nothing impossible for Jesus who is God also besides the Father - (Matthew 19:26). Jesus was the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He became human NOT to change the law, but to keep it to prove that humanity in the fallen sinful nature can also keep the law after repentance - (Romans 8:3-4; Matthew 5:17). As a human being, Jesus does not know the future - (Matthew 24:36). He had to depend upon God the Father for divine power to overcome temptations. He was finite and human like us. But as God, Jesus was the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last - He knows the future - (Isaiah 44:6; 46:10; Revelation 1:9-11). He was infinite. The God who created heaven and earth and the other worlds - (Colossians 1:16-17; Hebrews 1:1-2)
