10,400% increase in Meru Youth fund to 210 Million After days of intense lobbying and negotiations, the youth are set to get 210 M from the earlier 2M that was allocated to them. This is an increase of 1,040,000 basis points which is a good start for the many unemployed young people. In addition, this presents a great opportunity to those with ideas and creative thinking since our next efforts will be directed towards the formulation of a County Youth Policy. This policy will provide guidance on numerous subjects, relating from ‘creative-idea’ funding to job creation among the youth. Nairobi’s economy can no longer sustain the growing work force espe. among the youth and it is in this respect that we will not tire to ensure that the County Economic Growth n Dev’t Path is well architected for the current and future generations. Together with our Youth Agenda and the Meru County Vision 2035 discussion document, we are set to ensure that resiliency and foundations of growth are the fundamentals of short, medium and long-term County Plans. I do have high hope in our current County Leaders despite the almost extreme anxiety among some individuals.
