10/6/14 BIBLE PASSAGE: 10/6/14 BIBLE PASSAGE (1 Chronicles 16 Psalm 42,44) From 1 Chronicles: King David witnessed many goodness of God, and he recounted some of them in appreciations. The man of God realized Jehovah’s efforts to lead Israelites out of Egypt and brought them to the Promised Land. David stated, “When they went from one nation to another, And from one kingdom to another people, He permitted no man to do them wrong; Yes, He rebuked kings for their sakes, Saying, “Do not touch my anointed ones, and do my prophets no harm.” (1 Chronicles 16:20-22). Lesson: The difference between God and man is that God does not fail on promises, but man does. Circumstances may cause a man to change his mind, but God will remain faithful to his children. He will do whatever necessary to fulfil his promises – even when circumstances prove difficult. Hence, believers are challenged to keep their faith and remain hopeful for fulfilment of God’s promises on their lives. If he said it, he will do it! The Creator may or may not require any effort from our part, but it is important that we trust him. Prayer: Dear God, I understand that it is necessary that I trust you so that I can see your promises fulfilled over my life. Therefore, I ask that you please give me grace to keep trusting you. Let my confidence in you be resolute; let me cooperate with you so that I can have all my expectations met. Please give me long life, good health, and prosperity to continue enjoying your goodness in the land of the living. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
