Starring Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, and Michael Shannon 6:Star Trek Into Darkness Awesome Sci-Fi with an even cooler villain! Starring Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, and Benedict Cumberbatch 5:Saving Mr. Banks Biggest surprise of the year, the film affected me more than I expected. Man tears, no shame! Starring Emma Thompson, Tom Hanks, Colin Farrell 4:The Hunger Games:Catching Fire Managed to actually live up to all the hype surrounding it, and please the book fans!(including me) Starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Donald Sutherland 3:The Secret Life of Walter Mitty An incredible mix of beautiful camera work, catchy music, and brilliant storytelling! Not to mention the comedy! Starring Ben Stiller, Kristen Wiig, and Sean Penn 2:Captain Phillips An intense ride from start to finish, including a possible career best from Tom Hanks! Also, an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor!(The guys first movie gig!) Starring Tom Hanks, Barkhad Abdi, and Faysal Ahmed 1:Prisoners Had me frozen in my seat, mouth agape, for the entire duration of the film. Top notch acting, music, and pacing.
