10 things you should know: 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games #1: Theyre coming soon... but when exactly? Get your calendars out and start planning. The TORONTO 2015 Pan Am Games will take place July 10-26 and the Parapan Am Games will run from August 7-15. #2: Toronto invasion Break out the party gear and get ready to host! Toronto will proudly welcome close to 7,000 top athletes from 41 countries from across the Americas and the Caribbean. And lets not forget the thousands of visitors to the city and surrounding area. The summer of 2015 will be alive with concerts, performances and exciting arts and cultural events as we show the world our spectacular city. Get your dancing shoes ready! #3: 2016 Olympians here live! The time has come to get up close and personal with Olympic athletes. The 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games will qualify athletes for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games in more than 15 sports. This is your chance to see the worlds best push for the podium on our very own soil. Be there! #4: Wakeboarding? Roller Skating? Rugby Sevens? The 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games features more than Olympic sports. Also included are top athletes competing in wakeboarding, waterskiing, roller skating, rugby sevens and even squash. For competitors of many of these sports, the Pan Am/Parapan Am Games is one of the highest levels of competition in their sport. Come out and be amazed! To commence the 2015 Games, the flame will pass through more than 130 communities over 41 days, travelling by plane, train and even ferry boat.
