10 years has went so fast, Since I seen your face last. You arrived to Tinahely with your Kells twang, And introduced us to the Grey gang. I went in every morning and you did my hair, And you loved going to a craft fair. Bbqs you did love to host, Having family around you loved the most. There was often a sing song and a glass of wine, Which always went on well past nine. You loved to have a cigarette, And tried to give up but was always bet. You became part of our family and we part of yours; When we went to visit we were welcomed with opened doors. You helped me with homework and carted me around, You really were amazing as I would say sound. I see you Amy shaking that ass Was often sung as you would pass. A laugh was often had spending time with you, Your laugh could be heard above everyones too. You really had an impact on everyone you met, And a good deal you did love to get. To wear your wedding ring Im honoured to say, I just wish you could be here to talk to today. You were taken from us all too fast, my time with you was definitely a blast. You helped me become the person I am today, And continue to look down on me along the way. We will never be too far apart Because you will always be in my head and heart. I love and miss you Ger xxx
