Summary: Detailed forecast, current gradients, and resultant morning winds suggest a weather “bomb” is coming our way. As of 4:45 am a Wind Advisory for noon on with sustained winds in excess of 15-25mph was posted for the Metro. This is Advisory rather Warning, but the coast is going off already. Tides: Alki mid day tides favorable with modest shoreside reverb as the low is not very low. -Slack = 10:30 am, corresponding tide level = 4.8’ -Max flood current = 12:45 pm at 0.55 mph, corresponding tide level = 7’ -Slack = 3:30 pm, corresponding tide level = 11.9 feet -Sunset = early…..sigh Detailed NWS Forecast Wind Advisory Status 9am NOAA, Puget Sound “gale warning in effect until 4pm Favorable: Everything Unfavorable: Its not in the Metro. Yet . As of 7am. Pressure Gradient Trend Massive regional trend Portland to Bellingham. Coast going wonkers. Big drop Seattle to Everett from 6am to suggests upcoming moments of great pleasure. Wind Sensor Readings 7am gradients suggest up to 30mph somewhere along the Seattle to Everett line. 7am Everett readings came in at 18-27. No such thing as a sure thing. But this one looking close. Radar Dry overhead currently. Big hulking green thing coming in from the SW.
