Ok so heres the update: after spending time with the surgeon, he says that Donnie is a perfect candidate for liver transplant. The transplant team meets on Friday and will give us the official decision on Friday. I believe it will be a yes because they have already scheduled us a follow up appt at the transplant clinic for late Oct. The other amazing fact is that Donnies blood type is rare and only a few that are on the transplant list have it so he may get transplanted a bit faster than most on the list. The other side of it is if his liver begins to fail and that there isnt a liver of his type available it could mean... Well you know, I just cant say it. Now we live by the phone. Good juju from our friends and loved ones please!
