Semester Exams will be: Wednesday Dec. 17, 2014 8:00 – 9:20 First Block 9:30 – 10:50 Second Block Thursday Dec. 18, 2014 8:00 – 9:20 Third Block 9:30 – 10:50 Fourth Block Friday Dec. 19, 2014 8:00 – 9:20 Make-up exams All testing will be done during first and second block. The check out form will be due back no later than Friday, December 12 in the morning time. Students will not be allowed to stay on campus if they check out. They also cannot come back to ride bus home. After every home basketball game Red Zone will be offering 10% off a meal with your ticket stub. The 8th grade softball team will be selling candy cane grams before school and during lunch until December 12th. The cost will be $1. FFA Members that want to order a pair of boots, go see Mr. Clay Mims during break. Scholars Bowl practice will begin Wednesday Dec. 10th from 3-4pm with Mr. Goodwin and every Wednesday following. The 2nd annual Relay for Life Karaoke Competition will be Friday Dec. 12. See Coach Milligan or Mikala Thornton to sign up. Beta Club Members--$20 deposit to attend convention is due by Dec. 12th. The other $45 will be due January 16. The convention is in Birmingham on April 9th and 10th. Mrs. Hope will be taking up money until Friday, December 12 for the Senior trip to The Alabama Shakespeare Festival. It is $35 which includes charter bus and theatre ticket. The date of the trip is Thursday, April 9, 2015. Also, FFA members you must purchase your banquet tickets by this Friday. See Mr. Clay Mims during break. Beta Club candy money is due by Wednesday, Dec. 10th to Mrs. C.F. Mims. Wellness screening will be December 12th 9:00am to 1:00pm. Sign-up sheet is in the office where we sign in every morning. The Miss JHS Pageant will be January 30th. The pageant will include interview, opening number, casual and evening wear, and on stage questions. Scholarships will be awarded to the winner, alternates, scholarship award recipient, and community service award recipient. Last year over $1,000 in scholarship money was awarded. The deadline to sign up is December 5th. Our first community service project will be taking gifts to Children’s Hospital on December 8th. If you would like to sign up for the pageant and go on the Children’s Hospital field trip, please see Mrs. Hayes for a form. Any lady interested in the Miss Teen Alabama pageant may pick up information in the office. Year Books are on sale now…Order yours by December 12. Please see the lists posted in front of the office and by Mrs. Allred’s room to see if you have ordered one. If you haven’t please do so ASAP!! Prom fees are $150 FCA Meetings every Tuesday at 7:15 in Clay Mims room.
