11:15am. So far today I have: * Written a two page evaluation of a website for a friend of a friend. * Started gathering information so that I can help same organise funding for her organisation. * Cancelled two appointments so that we can go to Gympie next week. Made another couple for various reasons. * Organised a motel room, ensuring it has wheelchair access. * Organised accommodation for the boys (and had a bit of a chat with Nanna while I was at it lol) * Called Nickys school to sort out a missing audio CD. * Jimmied a budget around so that we can afford to go to Gympie next week. Transferred funds. Organised paperwork so that bills can be paid next week when we get paid. * Organised a play date with a friend in Gympie for when we are there. * Started working on a plan for what we need to cover at both GP and OT next week. Also started taking notes for what I need to cover with a specialist we are seeing next month. * Organised a months worth of paperwork that got accidentally put aside and forgotten about. * Read a few articles and wrote a 1000+ word blog post. And Ive done all that after spending the night with a nearly six year old sleeping, literally, ON me, causing me great pain throughout the night. On half my usual pain medication. Now I am going to sit down and organise what Nicky needs to do to catch up his school work so that he can start that with his new support worker this afternoon. I will do up a plan for next week too while Im at it because we are busy next week and Im not sure Ill remember. I need to go through his school books and do a change over from last session to this one. Tomorrow I am going to a friends house to help her start organising it. Yesterday I had the day off because I was sick, but still managed to sqeeze in an appointment at home. The day before I went scrapbooking, and after that, took the boys climbing. The day before that I went on a day trip. And the day before that, I had an xray, and took the boys climbing. And in between all these things, I do little bits of organising this and cleaning up that. Just like any stay at home mother does. Yet apparently I do nothing but sit on my arse all day. Because I volunteer and do not work for a living, I am useless and therefore its ok to abuse me. NO, it is not. It is not ok. Because I have worth despite my income status. Not just as a mother or wife, or even as a volunteer. I have worth as ME, Linda. The whole package of goodness that is me is worth something. Its a good thing I do not have a price tag. The world couldnt afford me ;-)
