11/3/13 OX Update- Ox went to dr. woods today- He was sedated he had xrays on his leg & hips.. He has a torn ACL in his left knee,he does not have any hip dysplasia or old fractures, he had bloodwork done,trimmed toe nails {3 nails were split in half} We used up every dollar.. he was given a prescription for tramadol,luckily for now he has donated pills , he was also given a homeopathic anti-inflammatory since it is safer on the liver and he was given donated cephalexin for possible infection in his right front elbow from a dog bite since him & Myles had gotten into a tiff.. Dr. woods says surgery repair obviously is the only way to fix his leg,but thinks that it would probably be a very hard recovery for him because of his living situation so he is going to email me some info on a new support brace that might help OX have a little eg support,hopefully his other bad leg wont tear just from the strain of OXs putting all his weight into his good leg.. Also, if OXs homeopathic anti inflammatory is not strong enough,he will get a prescription strength and will have to get bloodwork every 6 montsh in the least to ensure no liver damage.. for now,we have starting bloodwork so atleast we have his initial info if needed.. basically, once we know how much the new support brace costs, we are going to have to raise more funds .. Basicaly at this point,OX will need long term pain mgmt. I will be posting the reciept once I recieve it in an email from Dr. woods.. I also requested xrays and bloodwork to be emailed to me so I can forward to any donor who would like to know their money went directly to OXs care.. a couple of folks never did call in their payment to Dr. woods as they said they would, luckily Dr. woods gave us a 90.00 discount and he gave us the antibiotics and we recieved a tramadol donation to last for awhile..
