1186 missing and murdered First Nations sisters. The problem is misinformation. Propaganda. The people coming to this land are ignorant because they are mislead. Some people coming here with their own beliefs that women are inherently evil. There are people who are raised with this thinking then they come here, though welcomed, need re-conditioning in their mind set. A cheap little book, big print, mostly pictures, is what is required for newcommers to learn before gaining citizenship. That whole book needs to be re-written with truth. RCMP was created to Take care of the Indian problem striking at our women is a tactic of that original mandate. To be sure, not every RCMP army o officer continues with that archaic mandate, but of course like the KKK there are a few still with these ideals. Just saying we need to re-educate, tell the truth in the schools, stop allowing propaganda being spread in all systems. Thus countering our childrens lack of self worth and others perceptions about first nations people. Theres a bit of where my head is this morning, positive direction to solve a terrible problem. Personally I re-educate every person I come across and tell them, (once I have helped them see that lies that have been fed to them), to go and inform their own people that what they have been fed are lies, and that there are lost people of any race to be sure, but as a nation we are as good as any other made by creator.
