Duggan gets new inquest By Naomi Firsht, November 6, 2014 Follow The JC on Twitter A mother has secured an an inquest into the death of her son after an 11-year campaign. Twenty-two-year-old Jeremiah Duggan was found dead on a road near Wiesbaden, Germany, in March 2003. German authorities claimed he had committed suicide, but his family believe there were suspicious circumstances involved . A previous inquest in the UK in 2003 discounted suicide as a cause of death but did not investigate further. This week coroner Andrew Walker ruled there was enough evidence for a full three-day inquest and set a date for March next year. Mr Duggans mother, Erica, who has led a campaign for an inquest, said she was pleased with the decision. Mr Duggan was in Germany attending what he believed was a peace conference but was in reality an event organised by the far-right LaRouche network. His mother said: I think this coroner understands that it is important to look into this, because LaRouche, according to everything I have found out, is spreading hatred against and Jews. She also claimed German authorities had failed to conduct a proper investigation into her sons death. The fact that they dont even want to look into it means you have to ask, why, what are they hiding? she said. Last updated: 1:00pm, November 6 2014
