12 July 1970 ... Morning started with an emergency response to the garbage pit for Doc Cuningham and EA Wollenhaupt. Upon arrival it was determined that a Hough loader had run over and crushed an 8 year old boy who was scavaging for food. By the time that was taken care of the fill crew had already left and commenced work on ltl4. Witmer and Suggs were left to supervise the construction of the 2nd culvert crossing.
