12 hour work day then on to yard work......... I want to take a moment and reflect on my life. With that I want to thank my Heroes. Most people look up to Athletes or Lawyers and other people of stature. I want to thank my Grandmother and Grandfather. Both could neither read nor write but were probably two of the smartest people I have ever known. They got up each morning to go to their respective jobs. My Grandmother cleaned houses for some rich white folks (as she called them) and my grandfather cut yards for a living (which is why to this very day I hate yard work because my summers were made up of getting up at 5 am and working until it started getting dark cutting yards). My Grandparents never let me know how broke we really were, they worked their behinds off and always managed to find two bits to give me my sister and my cousin. It is because of those two that I am grateful for what I have, but I am even more grateful to them for instilling a work ethic in me that lets me continue to work to be the best me that I can be. I hate to hear the words I Cant. There are so many people that have not been given the lives we have been given, yet they find a way to survive. Before I go on a long rant I just wanted to acknowledge my HEROES today. Jesse and Edna Johnson, your spirit lives in me, and I will continue to Work at being the Best Me that I CAN be! I Love you both to infinity!
