12 years ago when my father was the president of the pee wee football he invited the then head football coach to a game to do the coin toss. The coach showed up for the games and about an hour into it he walks right up to my dad and says I dont agree with kids playing football and he left. So how come 3-4 years after that none of the kids came out because the coach didnt believe in them? Those teams were lucky to win 2 games and still had 50-60 kids. It seems to me the reason is not the fact that our newest former coach doesnt agree with pee wee. It may be all the parents have lied to there kids and blew things way out of proportion like when all the pee wee parents said Coach Dawson drove a lawn mower onto the field and almost ran over a player, when the lawnmower never crossed onto the field. Even if that is the reason why would you quit playing simply because a coach doesnt support pee wee? Maybe he is educated enough to look at when scientific studies show that little kids should not be running into each other at full speed, they probably shouldnt do it. So maybe he wasnt mad at pee wee football players or coaches or parents, maybe he was just concerned with the health of your kids. I could go on forever on a whole bunch of topics but I just wanted to touch on this to provide some information that may make some reconsider their opinion. I hope the people that caused all this to happen are happy.
