Currently, we have Cloudy skies across the region with temperatures in the mid 60s along and west of the Blue Ridge and temperatures in the low 70s along and east of the Blue Ridge. Friday should bring Mostly Cloudy skies with a chance of scattered to widespread showers and storms. Some of the rain could be heavy at times. TONIGHT: Cloudy skies with a chance of scattered to widespread showers and storms from the New River Valley eastward to the Piedmont with a chance of isolated showers and storms near the Kentucky border. Lows should drop to near 60 degrees along and west of the Blue Ridge with lows dropping into the mid to upper 60s along and east of the Blue Ridge. Winds should be from the South and Southwest at 5 mph along the Blue Ridge with Calm winds near the Kentucky border and in the Piedmont. FRIDAY: Mostly Cloudy skies with a chance of scattered to widespread showers and storms. Highs should climb into the low to mid 70s. Winds should be from the South and East at 5 mph. FRIDAY NIGHT: Mostly Cloudy skies with a chance of scattered showers and storms. Lows should drop into the low 60s along and west of the Blue Ridge with lows dropping into the mid to upper 60s along and east of the Blue Ridge. Winds should be from the East and Northeast at 5 mph. LOOKING AHEAD: Saturday should bring Mostly Cloudy skies with a chance of scattered showers and storms. Highs should climb into the mid to upper 70s across most of the region with highs climbing to near 80 degrees in the Piedmont.
