Its hard to believe, but summer is almost over and the new school year is almost here! Starting a new grade can be an exciting time for kids, but sadly, many children in our area will return to school without the supplies they need. We believe this creates an important ministry opportunity to serve these children by sending them back to school equipped for success. Were asking you to consider purchasing a backpack and filling it with some basic school supplies (listed below). This investment of time and money on your part could have a huge impact for a child! The backpacks will go to students in need at Theodore Roosevelt Elementary in Binghamton. Our goal is to provide 250 backpacks. List of needed supplies to fill the gender neutral backpack: A box of Kleenex tissues A box of crayons #2 lead pencils Scissors with rounded blades Pocket folders Glue Sticks Blue or black ball point pens A wide-ruled spiral notebook A wide-ruled black marble cover composition notebook We are asking that you bring your loaded backpack to the church no later than Sunday, August 17 (There will be bins in the lobby labeled Backpacks For Students) Thank you for showing the love of Jesus to the students in our city!
