13 years ago I was in 8th grade at Rombout Middle School when first hearing the unforgettable news of the 9/11 Terror Attacks. Today I am on my way to work thinking about all the humans who lost their lives during the attacks and after throughout the War on Terror, the brave men and women who fought to protect and serve in NYC and DC on this unforgettable day and across seas throughout the War on Terror, and how these last 13 years have been on their families. Im thinking about how much has changed in our Country as well as the World. How much hasnt. Being reflective on not only the devastation, yet also remembering how we came together as a Nation. It is important to never forget what we have been through, equally as important to once again come together with the mindset and plan to move forward. Where were you 13 years ago? Where are you now?
