Music Festival News Folk, something new happens every day! Dusty Brown, (AHS) called me today, and we will be pulling two lowboy flat bed trailers in the yard THIS Saturday! This will create a double stage, so if all goes well, we will have non-stop music! Imagine, 32 feet of stage! If you want to hear Danny Miller, (SWD) and his four piece band you will have to be here at precisely 1 PM, as they have other venues they are committed. Danny can stay a while, but his drummer has to bug out just after the performance. I sure am appreciative they will go to much effort to perform. Danny also promises a surprise, but he won’t tell what it is? That sounds GREAT! Talked to Alan Thornton, (AHS) today. It looks like he may make it! The total list so far for performers is reaching 15! Attendance is surpassing 135! People are coming from far and wide! We will hold our final practice this Sunday at my home for any performers that want to come. We start at noon. We got bands, solo artists, back up players, Country, Gospel, Folk, some sort of rock?, and who knows what all else? I let each performer choose what they want to do, and I don’t ask what it is. You gotta be nuts not to want to come and hear these folks, and it don’t cost no $200 bucks! Five dollars for charity and bring some food and a chair. If you want to come on April 12, send me an email at fhill5@hotmail, and I’ll add you to the list so security will know your name! Forrest PS: Sometimes we get all wrapped up in details. When Dusty called me today and offered to get the flatbeds in place, I just made the arrangements. A few hours later, I realized I had been remiss. I called Dusty and told him I had an issue. He asked what it was. I told him I had forgot to thank him, and that was a bad thing. He said no problem, but I RARELY ask for help, and Dusty made these arrangements. I asked his forgiveness and tried to thank him proper. That is what a Southern Gentleman does…
