Henry Harbaugh, D.D., who taught Didactic and Pastoral Theology, in the Theological Seminary of the Reformed Church, at Mercersburg, Pennsylvania, now Lancaster Theological Seminary, at Lancaster, Pennsylvania was wedded to Miss Louisa Goodrich, “… of New Hagerstown, Carroll County, Ohio, whose acquaintance he had made in his early life at the New Hagerstown Academy. This union lasted until the summer of 1847, when the companion of his youth, while on a visit with him to the home of her parents in the West, was stricken with fever and died, September 26.” Source: Harbaugh, Linn, Esq.
