14TH MAY,2014. MORNING DEVOTION:DOMINION IN HARD TIMES! TODAYS SCRIPTURE: in hard times, theyll hold their heads high; when the shelves are bare, theyll be full. (Psalm 37:19 MSG) Walking in prosperity and victory does not just happen by accident; neither does it just drop on you, it involves a deliberate and conscious act of faith to trust God amidst all odds. If you want to have dominion in life, you will not be afraid of failing, falling or making mistakes. Rather you will be ready to take every ugly occurrence in your life as stepping stones or lesson points on your path to being victorious. The scripture above said the present famine was more hostile than that experienced by Abraham. Isaac held on to the same God that took Abraham through and He saw himself harvesting enough to be envied. Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.(Psalm 23:4NLT) The odds created by the presence of the darkest valley soon become history when the protection and comfort provided by God’s rod and staff is understood. If you are going through a dark valley and focus on the valley you will sink,but if you focus on the rod and staff you will be comforted and protected from all hardship. No matter how hard things are today see yourself as an overcomer and a victor. You are not just a victor, you are more than a conqueror through Christ that strengthens you. Abraham the father of faith became prosperous and exercised dominion by obeying God’s instructions. Isaac also overcame his odds by obeying God’s instructions. That means along with a situational hardship is an instruction through the situations of life. there was a famine in the land, as bad as the famine during the time of Abraham. And Isaac went down to Abimelech, king of the Philistines, in Gerar. Genesis 26:1.MSG. The situation that challenges you is not the end of your story. Be willing to see the instruction from the word of God to solve any challenge you are facing . As an oracle of God I declare your dominion over every valley situation and whatever confronts you today as Goliath. You are empowered to conquer!
