15 weeks ago our ultrasound appeared to show several very risky complications concerning our baby and me. We were given a plan of delivering around 34 weeks with possible hospitalization up to a couple weeks prior to delivery. There was a lot of uncertainty and I had many restless nights with a lot of time spent with my Heavenly Father. His word brought hope and comfort in a dark time. Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me! (from Psalm 23) God saw fit to allow us to face fears and uncertainty in a whole new way. He used this to bring us more fervently to our knees. As the weeks continued, each checkup and appointment seemed to show less of the problems/complications/issues that seemed so prevalent at that first appointment. After many visits and checkups, the remaining issue was a placenta previa. This is still considered high risk, however, the original risks were much higher! In addition to this, the baby appears to be a bit on the small side, but we shall see when she arrives... To that end, tomorrow I will be 36 weeks and 6 days and am going to have a scheduled c-section. This little girl has brought much anticipation and we are looking forward to all that God will continue to do. To all who have followed our time of uncertainty, thank you for your prayers. We praise our Heavenly Father for His faithfulness and His peace that passes all understanding. To Him be the glory!
