15 years ago, on 31 December 1999, One of the greatest Islamic scholars Maulana Abul Hasan Nadwi (R.A.) passed away. I was just 18 years, engineering college student and used to be very excited to celebrate and welcome the new year. But that year 1999, 31 Dec, after hearing Maulana passed away, I was so sad that I did not enjoy or did any kind of celebration at the stroke of 00:00 as I used to earlier. That day I realized how great it is to be as Maulana Ali Miyan and every year I remember him on 31 December and it gives me loads of inspiration to be a better human being, a good Muslim, and a good citizen. I left celebrating the new year since then and instead I spend time in self introspection. May Allah grant Ali Miyan Jannatul Firdaus. I wish and pray to Allah to bless us with Ulema like Ali Miyan Ameen-e-Mudassar Bangalore
