18 HEROES FROM AURORA WHO LOST THEIR LIVES IN VIETNAM The following 18 heroes from the Aurora area paid the ultimate sacrifice during the Vietnam War. The youngest was 19 and the oldest was 27. They will be remembered during tomorrow’s Moving Wall Opening Ceremony at 10:30 a.m. at West Aurora High School. Please like & share so that others can remember them as well! Corporal William Richard Di Santis; U.S. Army; Fallen on April 15, 1970; age 23 7. Specialist Thomas Lee Gaines; U.S. Army; Fallen on March 1, 1969; age 24 8. Private Richard Lee Garlick; U.S. Marine Corps; Fallen on March 1, 1968; age 20 9. Private Michael Wade Hagie; U.S. Marine Corps; Fallen on June 8, 1969; age 19 10. Sergeant Karl Richard Haring; U.S. Army; Fallen on September 24, 1968; age 19 11. Sergeant Robert Dale Herreid; U.S. Army; Fallen on January 30, 1974; age 27 12.
