18 hours in bed feels like a challenge: Hrithik Roshan In Bollywood, he is known to be a workaholic, so no wonder Hrithik Roshan — after his recent brain surgery — is finding being confined to the bed a challenge. “I’ve gone from 18 hours of work to 18 hours in bed. It seems like a challenge that I must make the best of. Life is always going to be unpredictable and problems are always going to exist,” says the actor. o Hrithik now suddenly has a four-week break from work (he was supposed to leave for an outdoor shooting schedule around the time of his surgery). It is believed that the actor sustained the injury on his head while shooting an action sequence for Siddharth Anand’s Bang Bang in Bangkok. Ask him about that, and he says, “This cannot be blamed on any particular event or person. The brain itself has no pain receptors, so there was no way to ascertain ‘when’ the injury could have happened,” says the actor. At the same time, Hrithik is clear that there is always room for improvement when it comes to shooting action sequences in Bollywood. “There is always scope to improve and grow where precautions are concerned. But so far I have never had any complaints per se,” he says. Hrithik has however, decided to be more careful about doing such scenes from now on. “Yes, I will as I always am. And I assure everyone, I will be even more careful now,” says the actor, who will next be seen in his father, Rakesh Roshan’s superhero flick Krrish 3. During his stay in the hospital, many of his friends from the industry turned up to check on him. But Hrithik feels his family was his rock during the whole ordeal. “I am also full of gratitude, especially for all the love and support my family received. They are the ones who had to go through worse,” he says, adding, “I on the other hand had a great time. (laughs)”
