1969 I miei Dischi preferiti del 1969 - part 9 All the pics come from my personal vinyl collection. FROM NOW ON (from number 11 to number 1) ALL THE ALBUM IM GOING TO POST WOULD DESERVE IN MY OPINION THE FIRST PLACE. The quality and quantity of Mastepieces released in 1969 is absolutely mind blowing. Number 11: The Stooges - Same Released on August 05, 1969 Punk 8 years before ? Rock at its best ? One of the most influential album of all time - but derivative at the same time ? Well: all this and more, much more. A must in every music lovers collection, this is the first Stooges effort and not the only one deserving recognition. Their second and third albums are essential as well and in general all the Iggy Pops later career remained at a high level. Talking about the vinyl, its one of the most controversial First Releases. Some still say that the very first press is on the Elektra Gold label, others say the very first press is on the Elektra Red label without the name of the band on it, others say that the Red labels with or without the bands name simply come from different pressing plants... One thing Im sure of, its that the very first pressing is NOT the one on the Elektra Gold, as it comes from Canada. About the Bands name, Im not 100% sure. To be on the safe side, 4 pics: The front cover with the Promotional sticker; The Gold label; The Red label without the name; The Red label with the name.
