1972 TV audiences were blown away by The Night Stalker, on dull and safe network TV they saw a delightfully bad taste horror schlock that went on to inspire movies and the X-files. Kolchak is a Slavic American, rough around the edges and overly passionate about the truth, Kolchak ricochets through the TV film stepping on toes of politicians and his own news room. He is a former award winning journalist but he is of the old style and a bit quaint. News people were becoming respectable and corporate and Kolchak had that gumshoe dive bar style of a working class reporter. So Las Vegas seems to be the perfect fit as he rides out his dimming career, having a cute young bar maid for a girl friend and still top dog of the local newspaper, if he only would just Play The Gameeverything would go smooth for him......but he cant and there are consequences. https://youtube/watch?v=z5UpA2_F_EY
